HOW TO GET A LIBRARY CARD

A Washington County Public Library card is easy to get—and it is FREE to first-time cardholders who reside in Washington, Holmes, Jackson, or Calhoun counties.

A parent must be present for a child under 18 to obtain a library card. The parent must also have (or get) a library card. A photo ID with a current physical address is required ( post office boxes cannot be used for proof of physical address). If you do not know your physical address, you can get address verification from the 911 office. If your photo ID does not have your current physical address, you may use other forms of documentation for proof of physical address: a valid driver's license, voter registration card, current utility bill, deed to property owned within the counties, property tax receipt, current car registration, work pay stub, or checkbook. In, addition, information may be required for proof of vaild mailing address. Also needed is a reference (2 if you do not have a telephone). Washington County library card is good at all branches within Washington, Holmes, Jackson, or Calhoun counties.

If you loose (or have lost) your library card, for a replacement card it will cost $3.00 each.
